Est. 1906 — Scottish Constitution
Trafalgar Lodge No. 1009 SC stands as a pillar of the Scottish Constitution, upholding the ancient charges with modern relevance. Our history is woven into the fabric of the community, fostering a space where men of character seek to improve themselves and the world around them.
Through the pursuit of truth and the practice of charity, our brethren cultivate lifelong bonds that transcend social and professional boundaries.
Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations. It provides a code of living in our daily lives which today, as much as ever, is relevant and important.

Freemasonry has provided me with a moral compass and a group of mentors I never would have met elsewhere. It’s a brotherhood in the truest sense.

Common Enquiries
Membership is open to men of good character, aged 21 or over (18 in some cases), who believe in a Supreme Being. We welcome men from all backgrounds, regardless of race or religion.
No. Freemasonry is not a religion, nor is it a substitute for religion. It requires members to believe in a Supreme Being, but how they worship is their own private matter.
Trafalgar Lodge typically meets once or twice a month. Members are encouraged to attend as often as they can, though we recognise family and work commitments come first.
There is an initiation fee and an annual membership subscription. Additionally, members often donate to charity as they are able and cover the cost of their meals at our formal dinners.
